Schleswig Public Library is planning to open June 15th normal library hours for checking out books only!!

Only 3 people at a time in adult section and 3 children in the children section. Children under the age of 12 must be with an adult!

Masks and Gloves will be required and also provided!!

Please return material via the drop box!! Books that are taken off shelves must be return to front table to be sanitized.

Our ebook and audiobook collection is a convenient way to discover and borrow titles anytime from anywhere. If you’d like to take advantage of our digital offering but don’t know how or where to begin, OverDrive’s Libby Training sessions have you covered.

This virtual session will get you up to speed on everything you need to know to get started with Libby – the one tap reading app, including:

  • Finding your library and signing in
  • Navigating the app
  • Browsing and searching for titles
  • Borrowing titles and placing holds


  • Managing holds and notifications
  • Tagging titles
  • Switching between libraries
  • And much more



Session 2 – Experienced Users

Already familiar with Libby but still have a few questions. Join the OverDrive experts for this virtual Q&A session to get even more out of our library’s digital collection.

You can burrow items through BRIDGES on your computer following these steps...

Bridges Step by Step Instructioons

-Go to

-Click on Sign In

-From the drop down Select your Library tab choose Schleswig Public Library

-When it say Please enter your Library Patron Number enter your number if you do not have your patron library number please call the library 676-3450 and a librarian will get it for you! (If after hours we will return your call next day we are open)

-Then Press Log In

-Then Search for your item whether book, magazine, or video.

-Once find item click on Place On Hold

-Then enter your e-mail twice

-Then wait for item to come in so you can burrow it.
